HONORING Venesha White upon the occasion of her
special designation by Pace University at the
Elisabeth Haub School of Law Leadership Award Dinner
on March 14, 2024
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Venesha White upon the occasion of her special designation for her
exemplary service to her community and State by Pace University, to be
celebrated on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the 29th Annual Elisabeth
Haub School of Law Leadership Award Dinner at the Westchester Country
Club in Rye, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Law Leadership Dinner is the signature fundraiser for
the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and a celebration to
honor individuals or organizations that have made outstanding
contributions to the legal community, the Law School, and the practice
of Law; and
WHEREAS, Venesha White is an Associate at Dorf Nelson & Zauderer in
the Commercial Litigation Department; and
WHEREAS, Prior to joining Dorf Nelson & Zauderer, Venesha White was
a legal intern at the New Rochelle Criminal Court, where she assisted in
the investigation, preparation, and prosecution of criminal cases in New
Rochelle, New York; she was also an intern at the Legal Services of
Hudson Valley, where she worked with attorneys to counsel clients in
housing and divorce matters and drafted motions; and
WHEREAS, Venesha White was a legal intern at Sanctuary for Families
and educated victims of domestic violence about their legal rights,
while also advocating for victims during court appearances;
additionally, she was an intern at FUJIFILM Holdings America
Corporation, having provided support to a variety of global legal
research compliance initiatives in Anti-Bribery, Anti-Kickback and
Anti-Corruption, developed and standardized research compliance training
and education materials, and conducted legal research and generated
legal memoranda; and
WHEREAS, An individual of many talents and passions, Venesha White
held several research positions at Mount Sinai School of Medicine; over
the course of her employment, she was Lead Clinical Research Coordinator
II/ Hematology Oncology, Senior Pediatric Clinical Research Coordinator/
Hematology Oncology, Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee
Administrator, and served as Clinical Research Program Director, where
she provided Operational leadership of the Tisch Cancer Institute's
Protocol Review Monitoring System; and
WHEREAS, Venesha White graduated Cum Laude from Pace University,
Elisabeth Haub School of Law in 2022 with an Advanced Certificate in
Health Law and Policy with a focus on Anti- Bribery, Kickback and
Corruption; she also served as Submissions Editor for the Pace
International Law Review; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Venesha White upon the occasion of her special designation for her
exemplary service to her community and State by Pace University at the
Elisabeth Haub School of Law Leadership Award Dinner on March 14, 2024;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Venesha White.
