COMMENDING the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand
Chapter of the State of New York, Mid Island Chapter
No. 37 upon the occasion of hosting its Red and
Black Affair on March 23, 2024

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the State of New
York, Mid Island Chapter No. 37 upon the occasion of hosting its Red and
Black Affair on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Babylon Historical
Society in Babylon, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the State
of New York, Mid Island Chapter No. 37 is being recognized for its
steadfast and unwavering commitment to community service as shown
through its participation in countless local initiatives and
fundraisers; and

WHEREAS, The members of this vital organization have shown great
dedication and discipline, holding true to their mission and their
mandate of putting others above themselves; and

WHEREAS, The Mid-Island Chapter No. 37 Red and Black Affair has and
will continue to support the members of its community with a focus on
youth programs, auxiliary groups, and community outreach, all while
caring for the sick and shut-in throughout the district; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, this organization's desire to do good work in
the community is an inspiration to all and continues to raise the bar by
achieving greatness in all its desired areas; the proficiency of the
Chapter and all their good deeds in caring for their neighbors shows in
each benevolent action and a lifetime of building true unity in the
community; and

WHEREAS, The success of Mid Island Chapter No. 37 is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its dedicated leadership and members,
whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization
and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the members of Mid Island Chapter No. 37, past and present, who have

labored so conscientiously to secure and improve the quality of life for
the community it serves; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the State of New
York, Mid Island Chapter No. 37 upon the occasion of hosting its Red and
Black Affair on March 23, 2024; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the State
of New York, Mid Island Chapter No. 37.
