HONORING Wayne Howard Lipton upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by RVC Blue
Speaks on April 13, 2024

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body, in keeping with
its time-honored traditions, to recognize and pay tribute to those
illustrious organizations and individuals who devote themselves to the
welfare of the community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Wayne Howard
Lipton upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
RVC Blue Speaks on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the 6th Annual Light it
Up Blue Gala for Autism, held at The Coral House in Baldwin, New York;
and

WHEREAS, The mission of RVC Blue Speaks is to promote awareness and
acceptance of those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder so that their
quality of life is enhanced and their potential is fulfilled; a 2024
Gala Honoree, Wayne Howard Lipton works to change the conversation about
Autism into action and progress; and

WHEREAS, The auspicious occasion of the Gala presents this esteemed
opportunity for Wayne Howard Lipton and his wife Karen Lipton to also
honor their late son, Adam who passed away in April of 2020; as a child,
he was diagnosed with autistic tendencies and benefited greatly from the
early intervention programs then available through the Rockville Centre
Schools and Camp Anchor, however, tragically, he was seriously injured
in an accident at the age of 10 and survived until the age of 37; and

WHEREAS, A multi-faceted man with a remarkable drive, Wayne Howard
Lipton is an entrepreneur, businessman, and musician; he is currently
the CEO and Managing Partner of Concierge Choice Physicians LLC; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Howard Lipton was raised in Valley Stream and
Baldwin; he graduated from Baldwin Senior High School; furthering his
education, he graduated from Harvard College in 1973 and obtained a B.A.
in Biochemistry; and

WHEREAS, Displaying his entrepreneurial ethics, Wayne Howard Lipton
owned Richmind Way Stores for many years, a chain of drug stores; and

WHEREAS, Founding his company in 2005, Concierge Choice Physicians
LLC services physicians nationally in marketing and administering
concierge programs, with its main office residing in Rockville Centre,
New York; and

WHEREAS, A man of faith, Wayne Howard Lipton has served on the
Boards of Central Synagogue and Temple B'nai Sholom; and

WHEREAS, Heavily involved in the community, Wayne Howard Lipton
served as a Trustee and Deputy Mayor of the Village of Rockville Centre
from 1999 to 2003 with Mayor Eugene J. Murray until they both retired
from the Board in 2007; from 1989 to 1999, he was a member of the RVC

Planning Board and served as its Chairman for eight of those years and
has also served as a Board Member of Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital
for ten years, was a founding Trustee of the Rockville Centre Education
Foundation and a Gala Honoree, and recently, he has joined the Board of
Trustees at Molloy University; and

WHEREAS, A patron of the arts, Wayne Howard Lipton serves as the
President of the Rockville Centre Guild for the Arts and President of
the South Shore Symphony, bringing the orchestra to Rockville Centre in
1991; a fine cellist, the orchestra has performed annually in July since
1993 at the Centennial of the Village; he has co-produced the Nutcracker
Ballet with the orchestra, Leggz Ltd Ballet, and professional guest star
dancers, the orchestra also performs at the Madison Theatre at Molloy
University over seven times a year and annually in collaboration with
Michael Bower and the voices of St. Agnes Cathedral each June; and

WHEREAS, Residing in Rockville Centre for over 44 years, Wayne
Howard Lipton and his wife, Karen Lipton, have been honored by various
organizations, including the RVC Education Foundation, Molloy
University, and Mt. Sinai South Nassau Hospital; Wayne individually has
been honored by The RVC Lions Club, The Rockville Centre Community Fund,
and UJA Federation; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Karen, their two
children, Sarah and Alex, and their oldest son, Adam, who sadly passed
in 2020, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Wayne Howard Lipton upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by RVC Blue Speaks on April 13, 2024, and to wish
him continued success in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Wayne Howard Lipton.
