HONORING Susan Yule upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of a New York State
Industries for the Disabled 2023 Outstanding
Performance Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay just tribute to those citizens who embody the true American spirit,
demonstrating personal courage and determination, while significantly
contributing to the enhancement of the quality of life of others; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Susan Yule upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a New
York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) 2023 Outstanding
Performance Award; and

WHEREAS, The NYSID Outstanding Performance Awards (formerly the
Joslin Awards) celebrates those who overcome obstacles and achieve
personal success through meaningful employment; and

WHEREAS, The NYSID Outstanding Performance Awards Program has
collectively recognized 1,014 individuals working at NYSID Member
Agencies and Corporate Partners since 2004, working to support
individuals in realizing their employment potential, often becoming a
defining moment and momentum for future accomplishments; and

WHEREAS, Susan Yule, in her work at Progress Industries of The Arc,
Oneida-Lewis for the past 13 years, has proven herself a supportive,
reliable, adaptive employee; she is highly-regarded by her colleagues
for her contagious smile, flexibility, level of expertise, and
positivity; and

WHEREAS, Individuals with disabilities merit our recognition as they
realize goals that serve to lift barriers and expand choices for all
persons with disabilities; Susan Yule is one such individual; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such enduring pride, courage, and accomplishment are
brought to our attention, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and
commend those individuals; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Susan Yule upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a
New York State Industries for the Disabled 2023 Outstanding Performance
Award; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Susan Yule.
