COMMENDING the George Washington Carver Coalition
upon the occasion of hosting its Brothers & Sisters
Fundraising Events
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the George Washington Carver Coalition upon the occasion of
hosting its Brothers & Sisters Fundraising Events on Saturday, April 6,
2024, at Babylon Masonic Hall; and
WHEREAS, The George Washington Carver Coalition is led by recognized
Free and Accepted Masons whose joint works endeavor to assist their
community through charitable events and organizing; and
WHEREAS, The fundraising efforts that they place forward continue to
assist in community projects, youth investments for afterschool
programs, and local trips, aiding the youth in furthering their
educational and social experiences; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body recognizes the hard work, efforts and
resilience that is shown in all the George Washington Carver Coalition
does, including uplifting all those around, with a special emphasis on
strengthening the Black community through their acts of kindness; and
WHEREAS, The success of the George Washington Carver Coalition is in
direct correlation to the efforts of its members, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain altruistic individuals and organizations it wishes to
acknowledge for their philanthropic contributions to our society which
enhance the basic humanity among us all; the George Washington Carver
Coalition is one such organization; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the George Washington Carver Coalition upon the occasion of
hosting its Brothers & Sisters Fundraising Events; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the George Washington Carver Coalition.
