CONGRATULATING Jenifer Practico upon the occasion
of her retirement after 12 years of dedicated
service to the residents of the Village of
Castleton-on-Hudson

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens who demonstrate great courage and
diligence in providing for the care and welfare of the citizens of their
communities and this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their
exemplary contributions and service on behalf of others; Jenifer
Practico is one such individual; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Jenifer Practico upon the occasion of her retirement after 12 years of
dedicated service to the residents of the Village of
Castleton-on-Hudson; and

WHEREAS, Jenifer Practico has faithfully served the residents of the
Village of Castleton-on-Hudson as a member of the Village Board of
Trustees from April 2, 2012 to April 1, 2024, acting as Deputy Mayor
from April 5, 2021 to the conclusion of her term; and

WHEREAS, In this capacity, Jenifer Practico was instrumental in
securing major grants for the Village, including a 50,000 dollar grant
to stabilize the Noyes Engine House and a 1.2 million dollar grant for
the wastewater treatment plant upgrade; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to her
community, Jenifer Practico has also diligently served as Village
Liaison and Trustee for the Castleton Cemetery Association; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, as Fire Department Liaison since 2021, Jenifer
Practico completed several projects benefiting local residents,
including the addition of a new village street next to the Castleton
Firehouse, as well as the addition of park land; and

WHEREAS, In recognition of these achievements, Jenifer Practico was
named Fire Commissioner For Life in February of 2024; and

WHEREAS, For 12 years, Jenifer Practico rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Village of
Castleton-on-Hudson, truly earning the admiration, affection, and esteem
of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Jenifer Practico over a lifetime of sacrifice and
dedication to others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Jenifer Practico upon the occasion of her retirement after
12 years of distinguished service to the residents of the Village of
Castleton-on-Hudson, and to wish her well in all her future endeavors;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jenifer Practico.
