CONGRATULATING Kim Davies upon the occasion of her
retirement, as Agency Program Aide, after 16 years
of distinguished service to the New York State
Division of Homeland Security in Oriskany, New York,
on Thursday, May 9, 2024

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Kim Davies is a graduate of SUNY Institute of Technology at
Utica-Rome (currently SUNY Polytechnic Institute) where she obtained her
Bachelor of Business and Public Management degree; and

WHEREAS, For the past 16 years, Kim Davies, of Whitesboro, New York,
rendered faithful, conscientious, and valuable service to the residents
of Oriskany and its neighboring communities; prior to that position, she
worked for Kelsey-Hayes Company in Utica, New York, for more than six
years; and

WHEREAS, During her tenure with the New York State Division of
Homeland Security, Kim Davies competently administered numerous
responsibilities, including monthly reconciliation of Net Card, updating
of the New York Statewide Financial System (SFS), review of purchase
requests to ensure they met New York State procurement standards,
assistance to students and instructors, and administrative support for
training courses; and

WHEREAS, Kim Davies was included in the "Team of the Quarter" Award
for October-December in 2018; and

WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Pete, her
daughter, four stepchildren, and three grandchildren, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and

WHEREAS, In her capacity as Agency Program Aide, Kim Davies served
with loyalty, honor, and distinction; in her official acts, she was
governed by a keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of
human problems, assisting others in need and providing essential
services to members of her community; and

WHEREAS, Kim Davies has earned the admiration, esteem, and affection
of her colleagues; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Kim Davies upon the occasion of her retirement, as Agency
Program Aide, after 16 years of distinguished service to the New York
State Division of Homeland Security in Oriskany, New York, on Thursday,
May 9, 2024; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kim Davies.
