COMMENDING the Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 upon the
occasion of hosting its 20th annual Parade &
Festival on June 8, 2024

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 upon the occasion of hosting its
20th annual Parade & Festival on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the crossing
on Edgewood St. & Mamaroneck Ave in White Plains, New York; and

WHEREAS, The dedicated Masons of the Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 are
men with a social conscience and a charitable perspective, who are also
known as Freemasons; they are part of a fraternal organization that
shares common moral ideals and esoteric values which are based on the
doctrine of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth; and

WHEREAS, This most benevolent gathering of Masonic Brothers and
Sisters of the Eastern Star marks twenty years of the unity inside the
organization, highlighting excellent charitable works that are completed
through this fundraising event; and

WHEREAS, Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 have continued to show their
efforts in the White Plains community and supporting their fellow Lodges
with their most honorable deeds and efforts to positively impact their
community; and

WHEREAS, Continuing to show their desire to improve the place they
live, Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 aims to uplift members of the community,
while understanding their focus in strengthening the Black community
with their acts of kindness and the role they play in showing youth high
standards and morals; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 is in direct
correlation to the efforts of the Worshipful Master Lee Smith, through
the Most Worshipful Gregory R. Smith Jr. Grand Master and its members,
whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization
and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the members of the Bright Hope Lodge No. 62, Free and Accepted Masons,
past and present, who have labored so conscientiously to secure and
improve the quality of life for the community it serves; now, therefore,
be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Bright Hope Lodge No. 62 upon the occasion of hosting its
20th annual Parade & Festival on June 8, 2024; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Worshipful Master Lee Smith and Most Worshipful
Gregory R. Smith Jr. Grand Master of Bright Hope Lodge No. 62, Free and
Accepted Masons of the State of New York.
