HONORING Georgianna Larry upon the occasion of her
retirement after 33 years of dedicated service to
the Town of Floyd, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Georgianna Larry upon the occasion of her retirement after 33 years of
distinguished service to the Town of Floyd, New York; and

WHEREAS, For the past 33 years, Georgianna Larry rendered faithful,
conscientious, and valuable service to the Town of Floyd, earning the
admiration, esteem, and affection of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, In her capacity as Town Clerk, served with loyalty, honor
and distinction, and was governed by a keen sense of duty and always
showed a unique grasp of human problems in her official acts; and

WHEREAS, Georgianna Larry became town clerk on February 11, 1991,
and has served faithfully in this capacity since; she served as the
town's registrar of vital statistics where she completed birth,
marriage, and death certificates; prepared warrants; attended board
meetings; and recorded minutes for these meetings; she also completed
dog licenses, sold hunting and fishing licenses, and, throughout her
tenure, has amassed a great depth of knowledge, often giving assistance
and direction to anyone in need; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Georgianna Larry upon the occasion of her retirement after 33
years of distinguished service to the Town of Floyd; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Georgianna Larry.
