HONORING Minister Willie M. Carpenter upon the
occasion of his designation for special recognition
by ANS Association on January 28, 2023
WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the
compassion of individuals, such as Minister Willie M. Carpenter, who
uphold the values of community life and who, through their great
actions, epitomize the best of humanity; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Minister
Willie M. Carpenter upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by ANS Association to be celebrated at its I Am Beautiful
Conference Award Ceremony on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at K & L Manor,
Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, An empowering networking group, ANS Association assists
men, women and youth with education and mentorship while providing vital
resources and development; truly dedicated to its community, this
extraordinary organization supports countless individuals through its
many initiatives, including food distribution, health care fairs,
business expos, networking events and youth empowerment groups; and
WHEREAS, Currently completing his Bachelor of Philosophy degree at
Liberty University, Willie M. Carpenter has overcome much adversity
throughout his life; he was raised in a poverty-stricken environment
under the leadership of a single mother, but was determined to advance
beyond what he saw and heard on a daily basis; and
WHEREAS, In 2004, after years of working in the construction field
alongside his family, Willie M. Carpenter obtained his own Residential
Specialty Contractor's License; in 2008, he became a Construction
Maintenance Worker 1, and three years later he was promoted to the
position of a foreman; and
WHEREAS, A man of indomitable faith and dedication, Willie M.
Carpenter was ordained a Deacon at his local church, True Light Healing
and Deliverance Ministries, in 2014; he was licensed as a Minister in
2017, and has been preaching, teaching Sunday School and Bible Study
since 2016; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, in 2015, he was licensed as a Certified Home
Inspector and founded APA Home Inspections, LLC before authoring the
book, "A Comprehensive Guide to Home Inspection" in 2020; and
WHEREAS, Renowned for being very encouraging and helpful, Minister
Willie M. Carpenter is a mentor to many and widely respected throughout
his beloved community; and
WHEREAS, A true humanitarian, Minister Willie M. Carpenter and his
wife were blessed with the opportunity to travel to Ghana, Africa for
missionary work with The Organization of International Missionaries
(OIM) in 2022; and
WHEREAS, In his spare time, Minister Willie M. Carpenter enjoys
spending time with his wife and children, landscaping, fishing, reading,
and working on projects around his home; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Minister Willie M. Carpenter
has displayed throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Melvina, and their
five children, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his many achievements; and
WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Minister Willie M. Carpenter, that future generations may know and
appreciate his admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the
respect and esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Minister Willie M. Carpenter upon the occasion of his designation
for special recognition by ANS Association; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Minister Willie M. Carpenter.
