COMMENDING Schneps Media upon the occasion of
hosting its Caribbean Impact Awards on March 30,
2023

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Schneps Media upon the occasion of hosting its Caribbean Impact
Awards on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Russo's On The Bay in Queens, New
York; and

WHEREAS, The annual Caribbean Impact Awards, is a celebrated event
hosted by Caribbean Life and presented by Elliot Ifraimoff & Associates,
Injury Attorneys that recognizes the achievements and contributions of
outstanding individuals of Caribbean background who have created the
most impact in their respective career fields, ranging from healthcare,
the arts, to advocacy, entrepreneurship, and much more; and

WHEREAS, The celebrated honorees at the annual Awards are committed
to creating and framing the path for incoming immigrants and inspiring
generations to come; and

WHEREAS, Schneps Media is the leading media company serving New York
City, Westchester, Long Island, and Philadelphia, is the publisher of
Caribbean Life, and is proud to bring together these outstanding
individuals at the annual Caribbean Impact Awards to connect, support
one another, do business, and build a community; and

WHEREAS, The mission of Schneps Media is to be an innovative local
media company dedicated to being the leader in informing, entertaining
and advocating for the communities they serve with original high quality
content across multiple channels that can be utilized by advertisers to
achieve their marketing objectives for their clients and readers; and

WHEREAS, Reaching over 2 million readers weekly, Schneps Media has
the largest group of community newspapers, magazines, websites, email
newsletters, social media channels, and business and community events;
and

WHEREAS, Priding themselves on building long-term relationships with
clients and readers, Schneps Media works with local residents, business,
community, civic, political and religious leaders to produce quality
original news content; and

WHEREAS, In 2018, Schneps Media was formed when Schneps
Communications acquired Community News Group, bringing together two very
successful media titles; more recently, Schneps Media acquired
amNewYork, METRO New York, METRO Philadelphia, Dan's Papers, and Behind
The Hedges to expand the company's reach and coverage areas; and


WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history of over 35 years, Schneps
Media has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Schneps Media is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its dedicated staff and volunteers, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Schneps Media upon the occasion of hosting its Caribbean Impact
Awards on March 30, 2023; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Schneps Media.
