Senate Resolution No. 730

COMMENDING Keith McNamara upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Long
Island Builders Institute

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the community and its
citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Keith McNamara upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Long Island Builders Institute to be celebrated at
its 81st Annual Dinner Dance Gala on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the North
Hills Country Club; and

WHEREAS, During this auspicious event, Keith McNamara will be
honored for his many contributions to the building industry and for his
steadfast and unremitting commitment to the Long Island Builders
Institute (LIBI) and his community; and

WHEREAS, Keith McNamara joined the Long Island Builders Institute in
1998, and shortly thereafter, became active in various committees
including the Trade Expo, Golf Outing, Membership, and Associate
Council; and

WHEREAS, In 2021, Keith McNamara was elected to the LIBI Board of
Directors where he currently holds an Associate seat; he also held the
title of Associate Council President in 2022, and now serves as its Vice
President; and

WHEREAS, Keith McNamara supports Long Island Home Builders Care by
taking part in the Annual Walk A Thon and Holiday Magic, delivering toys
to children in foster care, and headed up the building of one of the
Children's Custom Playhouses that was donated to the New
Interdisciplinary School in Yaphank during the 2021 Trade Expo; and

WHEREAS, Keith McNamara earned his Bachelor of Science degree in
business and economics and a minor in marketing from the State
University of New York at Oneonta; he has worked for Alside Supply since
2014, and most recently, holds the title of District/Regional Sales
Manager; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Centereach, New York, Keith McNamara enjoys
skiing, golfing and rooting for his favorite football team, the New York
Jets; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife and their two
daughters, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Keith McNamara upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Long Island Builders Institute; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Keith McNamara.
