MOURNING the death of Jake Anthony Arcara,
distinguished citizen and devoted member of his
community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Jake Anthony Arcara of Yorktown Heights, New York, died on
September 14, 2022, at the young age of 28; and
WHEREAS, Jake Anthony Arcara distinguished himself in his profession
and by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the
welfare of his community; and
WHEREAS, Born in Peekskill, New York in 1993, Jake Anthony Arcara
was born to loving parents, Kelly, and Jack Arcara; and
WHEREAS, A gentle, caring, and loyal man at heart, Jake Anthony
Arcara cherished moments spent with family and friends, whether it be
enjoying homemade drinks in the hot tub with his sister, surprising his
fiance with flowers, or exploring the outdoors with friends, his passion
and care for others was radiant; and
WHEREAS, In demonstration of his love for family, Jake Anthony
Arcara took his grandmother out to breakfast every Sunday morning; he
would honk his work truck horn twice every time he passed his mother's
office in Yorktown; he was proud to show his nieces and nephews around
his truck when they visited him at work; and
WHEREAS, Active with many interests, Jake Anthony Arcara loved the
autumn, fishing, hiking the Hudson Valley, dirt biking, going out to
dinner, traveling and exploring upstate New York, Florida, and
Pennsylvania, fire pits, chocolate milk, farm fresh everything, and
hanging out with friends and family, all of which activities will serve
as a comforting reminder of the joys to be experienced in his honor; and
WHEREAS, Jake Anthony Arcara's commitment to excellence, and his
spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Jake Anthony Arcara is survived by his mother, Kelly;
father, Jack; sister, Amanda; brother-in-law, George; niece and nephew,
Marina and Vinny; grandmother, Joan; fiance, Katie; and his beloved
Siberian Husky, Gunner; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Jake Anthony Arcara leaves behind a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Jake Anthony Arcara, distinguished citizen and
devoted member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Jake Anthony Arcara.
