COMMENDING Kevin J. Conway upon the occasion of
his designation as Grand Marshal of the 2023 New
York City St. Patrick's Day Parade

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
individuals of true purpose and worthy accomplishment who work
diligently to preserve and celebrate their rich cultural heritage; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Kevin J. Conway upon the occasion of his designation as Grand
Marshal of the 2023 New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade; and

WHEREAS, In acknowledgment of this most prestigious appointment,
Kevin J. Conway will have the honor of leading the 262nd consecutive New
York City St. Patrick's Day Parade up Fifth Avenue on Friday, March 17,
2023; and

WHEREAS, In 1994, Kevin J. Conway began his illustrious financial
career, spanning almost three decades, with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice;
rising through the ranks, he served as Managing Partner from 2004-2016,
and for over 20 years, he has held the title of Chairman of the
Investment Committee; and

WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of Kevin J. Conway, Clayton,
Dubilier & Rice acquired over 75 companies with an aggregate transaction
value of more than $200 billion, and the firm's current portfolio
employs more than 600,000 and generates annual revenues of approximately
$100 billion; and

WHEREAS, Kevin J. Conway has truly been instrumental in helping to
build Clayton, Dubilier & Rice into a leading global private equity
firm, been active in many of the firm's organizational initiatives, and
works closely with the chief executive officer on all aspects of the
firm's operations; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Kevin J. Conway upon the occasion of his designation as Grand
Marshal of the 2023 New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kevin J. Conway.
