MOURNING the death of Chief Warrant Officer
Christopher Robert Eramo

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Robert Eramo of Oneonta,
New York, died on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the age of 39; and

WHEREAS, Born on May 23, 1983, Christopher Robert Eramo
distinguished himself in his profession and by his sincere dedication
and substantial contribution to the welfare of his community; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Robert Eramo served his country honorably for
over 18 years, including tours of duty in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom; and

WHEREAS, The recipient of numerous awards and accolades, Christopher
Robert Eramo received nine Army Commendations Medals, six Army
Achievement Medals, the Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation,
National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the
Army Service Medal; and

WHEREAS, Loving all things outdoors, Christopher Robert Eramo's
hobbies included camping, fishing, hiking, dirt biking, flying his
private planes, going for rides on his motorcycle, and even scuba
diving; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Robert Eramo is survived by his loving wife,
Jennilee; mother, Carolyn; sister, Shannon Marie; brother, Dillon;
grandmother, Anja; nephews, Michael and Nicholas; niece, Addilyn; as
well as beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and many dear
friends; he was preceded in death by his father, Kari; uncle, Esa;
grandfather, Martti; grandfather, James; grandmother, Dorothy; and
uncle, William; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Robert Eramo's commitment to excellence, and
his spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and

WHEREAS, Our Nation's veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice
deserve to be recognized, commended, and honored by the people of the
State of New York for their service and for their dedication to their
communities, their State, and their Nation; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Christopher Robert Eramo leaves behind a legacy which will
long endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory
to all he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Robert Eramo; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Robert
Eramo.
