Assembly Resolution No. 927

IN relation to the election and seating of Diana
C. Moreno as a Member of the Assembly from the 36th
Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this
House, which was filled at a special election held on February 3, 2026;
and

WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said
election and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot
be made at this time; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Elections in the City of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 36th
Assembly District in the County of Queens, shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Diana C. Moreno, Democratic, Working Families
six thousand two hundred nine; Rana Abdelhamid, Queens for All, one
thousand four hundred thirty-five; Mary Jobaida, People First, six
hundred fifty-one; and

WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said
Assembly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of
such voters; and

WHEREAS, Diana C. Moreno has duly taken an oath of office as a
Member of Assembly; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That Diana C. Moreno, Democratic, Working Families is duly
elected and qualified as a Member of the Assembly for her respective
district and that she be seated in this House as such Member.
