HONORING Antonietta Mazzariello upon the occasion
of her designation as President of the Italian
Community Center Charitable Foundation of Troy, New
York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals and organizations that enrich the fabric of their
communities through cultural preservation, leadership, and service; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Antonietta Mazzariello upon the occasion of her designation as President
of the Italian Community Center Charitable Foundation of Troy, New York;
and

WHEREAS, The Italian Community Center Charitable Foundation (ICC) of
Troy, New York, has stood as a beacon of Italian-American heritage,
pride, and unity since its establishment in 1934, offering a welcoming
space for generations to gather, celebrate, and preserve their rich
cultural traditions; and

WHEREAS, For over nine decades, the ICC has played an instrumental
role in fostering cross-generational connections, supporting charitable
endeavors, and promoting educational programs that honor and perpetuate
Italian culture within the Capital Region and beyond; and

WHEREAS, Antonietta Mazzariello has long exemplified the values and
mission of the Italian Community Center through her unwavering
commitment, visionary leadership, and heartfelt devotion to community
service; and

WHEREAS, In 2025, Antonietta Mazzariello made history as she was
elected the first woman President of the Italian Community Center
Charitable Foundation of Troy, becoming a trailblazer in the
organization's proud lineage and ushering in a new era of inclusive
leadership; and

WHEREAS, Her election is not only a personal achievement but a
moment of significance for the broader Italian-American community,
symbolizing progress, empowerment, and the ever-evolving strength of
civic institutions led by dedicated individuals; and

WHEREAS, Under her guidance, the Italian Community Center is poised
to continue flourishing-serving as a hub for cultural expression,
intergenerational connection, and community enrichment-while inspiring
future leaders to carry forward its proud legacy; and

WHEREAS, Antonietta Mazzariello's exemplary service, integrity, and
dedication to the ideals of heritage, family, and philanthropy stand as
a testament to the enduring impact one individual can make on the life
of a community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Antonietta Mazzariello upon the occasion of her designation as
President of the Italian Community Center Charitable Foundation of Troy,
New York, and to applaud her historic achievement and lasting
contributions to cultural and civic life; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Antonietta Mazzariello.
