HONORING Amanda Perrelli upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2025 Citizenship
Advancement Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people, within this great Empire State, who
have made strong contributions to their communities and serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Amanda Perrelli, upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2025 Citizenship Advancement Award, to be recognized at a senior
scholarship ceremony at Island Trees High School on Tuesday, June 3,
2025; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Perrelli, committed to hard work, has achieved
excellence in academics, community service, and extracurricular
endeavors, justly earning this esteemed recognition; and

WHEREAS, A senior at Island Trees High School, Amanda Perrelli is a
remarkable young woman whose high school experience has been defined by
her growth, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making a
difference; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Perrelli is a hard-working and highly motivated
young lady, involved in a plethora of activities, including the National
Honor Society; she is a scholar-athlete and a star cheerleader; she has
earned the Bronze Award for Girl Scouts and was chosen as a Freshman
Mentor; additionally, she gives much of her time to philanthropic
causes; and

WHEREAS, What truly stands out about Amanda Perrelli is her ability
to motivate and uplift those around her; in her biology class, her
excitement for the lessons and labs was infectious; she was always the
first to raise her hand to answer questions, fostering an environment of
curiosity and collaboration; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Perrelli is diligent and kind; her enthusiasm has
influenced other students to participate in class activities and
discussions; her classroom behavior has a positive effect on her peers
and on her own success in all her classes; and

WHEREAS, Next year, Amanda Perrelli is headed to Molloy University
to study biology education; and

WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
respected scholar and distinguished member of her community now stands
honorably with just pride in her accomplishments and in eager
anticipation of all her future endeavors and limitless opportunities;
and

WHEREAS, It is of utmost importance to honor the youth of today, the
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Amanda Perrelli upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2025 Citizenship Advancement Award; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Amanda Perrelli.
