COMMEMORATING the 2025 Thanksgiving Feast and
Service hosted by Abu Bekr Court No. 74 and
recognizing its commitment to spiritual fellowship
and community service on May 18, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor the enduring traditions, civic contributions, and charitable
spirit of distinguished fraternal organizations across the State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to commemorate the 2025
Thanksgiving Feast and Service hosted by Abu Bekr Court No. 74,
Daughters of the Imperial Court, to be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025; and

WHEREAS, The Daughters of the Imperial Court, the women's auxiliary
to the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine of North and
South America and Its Jurisdictions, Inc., has long upheld a noble
mission of benevolence, spiritual guidance, and service to community;
and

WHEREAS, Abu Bekr Court No. 74, under the leadership of its
Illustrious Commandress and officers, continues to exemplify this
mission through initiatives that uplift the underserved, promote
fellowship among members, and support charitable and educational causes
throughout their jurisdiction; and

WHEREAS, The Thanksgiving Feast and Service is a cherished annual
tradition that brings members and supporters together in a spirit of
gratitude, reverence, and unity-celebrating both spiritual reflection
and the bonds of sisterhood and service; and

WHEREAS, This significant gathering affirms the values that guide
the Court's work: compassion, dignity, leadership, and the unwavering
pursuit of justice, equity, and community upliftment; and

WHEREAS, Events such as the Thanksgiving Feast and Service
strengthen the cultural and spiritual fabric of our neighborhoods and
remind us of the vital role fraternal organizations play in shaping
resilient, compassionate, and engaged communities; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 2025 Thanksgiving Feast and Service hosted by Abu Bekr
Court No. 74, and to commend the Court for its steadfast dedication to
fellowship, philanthropy, and spiritual leadership; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the leadership of Abu Bekr Court No. 74, Daughters of the
Imperial Court, in honor of this meaningful occasion.
