COMMEMORATING the Silver Queen Chapter No. 43
Atherline Rose Smith Five Point Tea, to be held on
June 8, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those esteemed organizations and events that embody a legacy of
service, spiritual fellowship, and cultural celebration within our
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to commemorate
the Atherline Rose Smith Five Point Tea, hosted by Silver Queen Chapter
No. 43 of the Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star, to be held on
Sunday, June 8, 2025; and

WHEREAS, The Five Point Tea is a cherished annual tradition that
honors the guiding principles of the Eastern Star-Fidelity, Constancy,
Loyalty, Faith, and Love-through a gathering that uplifts fellowship,
excellence, and the sacred mission of the Order; and

WHEREAS, Named in honor of the late Atherline Rose Smith, a
dedicated and beloved member whose grace, leadership, and commitment to
sisterhood left an indelible mark on Silver Queen Chapter No. 43, the
event serves both as a spiritual celebration and a tribute to her
enduring legacy; and

WHEREAS, Silver Queen Chapter No. 43 continues to exemplify the
values of Prince Hall Affiliation through charitable service, community
engagement, and the empowerment of women in faith and leadership; and

WHEREAS, The Atherline Rose Smith Five Point Tea brings together
members, supporters, and guests to reflect on their shared purpose,
enjoy cultural enrichment, and honor those who have paved the way
through service and devotion; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body commends Silver Queen Chapter No. 43
for its continued dedication to its mission, and recognizes the
significance of this occasion as a time of unity, remembrance, and
inspiration; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the Atherline Rose Smith Five Point Tea, to be held on June
8, 2025, and to honor Silver Queen Chapter No. 43 for its spiritual and
civic leadership; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the officers and members of Silver Queen Chapter No. 43,
Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star.
