CONGRATULATING Albert P. Santacroce upon the
occasion of his retirement after 36 years of
distinguished service to the Air Force Research
Laboratory in Rome, New York

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Albert P. Santacroce, upon the occasion of his retirement
after 36 years of distinguished service to the Air Force Research
Laboratory, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Albert P. Santacroce, of Utica, New York, has a long,
distinguished service career as a civil service employee with the United
States Air Force, Integrated Planning Division, Information Directorate,
Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Force Materiel Command, Rome
Operating Location, Rome, New York, from October 10, 1989, to September
30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, During his 36-year tenure and exemplary service with the
Air Force Research Laboratory, Albert P. Santacroce has performed his
duties with loyalty, honor, and distinction; he has documented the
visits of the VIPs of the AFRL, utilizing his vast knowledge of the
camera and proudly ensuring the visual documentation of the visits; and

WHEREAS, From 1989 to 2025, Albert P. Santacroce has been the quiet
chronicler of innovation, working behind the camera lens to preserve
every moment of scientific discovery, advancement, and achievement with
accuracy, creativity, and reverence; and

WHEREAS, Over the course of three decades, Albert P. Santacroce
became an integral figure in preserving the evolving identity of the
Information Directorate and AFRL, visually archiving thousands of
critical events, technical milestones, and personnel accomplishments;
and

WHEREAS, The photographic and print work produced by Albert P.
Santacroce has consistently exceeded professional standards and has been
instrumental in reinforcing the AFRL's mission, values, and enduring
legacy; and

WHEREAS, Albert P. Santacroce has served as both an artist and
historian, ensuring the United States Air Force's innovations in
information technology, cyber systems, and intelligence research were
captured with precision and clarity, often under challenging conditions,
tight deadlines, or classified constraints; and

WHEREAS, Albert P. Santacroce's imagery has been used in
national-level presentations, publications, technical journals,
recruitment campaigns, and strategic communication initiatives; the

ability to translate complex science and engineering into compelling
visual narratives contributed significantly to internal morale and
external awareness of the AFRL's contributions to national security; and

WHEREAS, Beyond technical mastery, Albert P. Santacroce has been a
mentor and collaborator, supporting fellow communicators, public affairs
professionals, and scientists with professionalism, humility, and an
unwavering commitment to excellence; he has exemplified the core values
of the United States Air Force, which are "Integrity First, Service
Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do," with a body of work that
speaks to decades of loyalty, artistry, and mission-first dedication;
and

WHEREAS, As Albert P. Santacroce concludes an extraordinary 36-year
career, the enduring impact of his service is evidenced not only in
photographs but also in the institutional memory of the Air Force
Research Laboratory itself; he has given a lifetime of service that has
enriched the legacy of the AFRL, empowered its mission, and preserved
its proud history for generations to come; and

WHEREAS, Albert P. Santacroce has earned the admiration, esteem, and
affection of his colleagues; his distinctive accomplishments culminate a
long, distinguished career with the United States Air Force and the
State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Albert P. Santacroce upon the occasion of his retirement
after 36 years of distinguished service to the Air Force Research
Laboratory in Rome, New York; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Albert P. Santacroce.
