COMMEMORATING the 2025 Sesame Flyers
International, Inc. Annual Family Sports Day to be
held on June 7, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those outstanding organizations which faithfully serve their
communities and create meaningful opportunities for civic engagement,
health, and family enrichment; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to commemorate the 2025
Annual Family Sports Day hosted by Sesame Flyers International, Inc., to
be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in celebration of the organization's
42nd year of community service; and

WHEREAS, For more than four decades, Sesame Flyers International has
provided vital services and cultural programming throughout Brooklyn and
beyond, uplifting families through youth development, education,
wellness, and the arts; and

WHEREAS, The Annual Family Sports Day stands as a joyful tradition
that gathers community members of all ages for a day of celebration,
movement, and togetherness-featuring games, races, music, performances,
and nourishing food, all in the spirit of unity and healthy living; and

WHEREAS, Through spirited activities such as sack races, tug-of-war
contests, and intergenerational games, the Sports Day fosters
camaraderie, teamwork, and wellness while strengthening the social
fabric of the communities it serves; and

WHEREAS, As Sesame Flyers International celebrates its 42nd
Anniversary, the organization continues to be a beacon of support and
inclusion for families across Brooklyn, helping residents thrive through
mentorship, advocacy, and a commitment to service; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body commends Sesame Flyers International
for its extraordinary contributions to New York's cultural and social
landscape, and for creating safe and joyous spaces that empower and
uplift families; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 2025 Annual Family Sports Day hosted by Sesame Flyers
International, Inc., and to honor the organization's 42 years of
dedicated service, leadership, and community excellence; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sesame Flyers International, Inc. in recognition of this
meaningful occasion.
