COMMEMORATING The Key Awards to be held on June 3,
2025
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
celebrate organizations and events that empower communities, uplift
youth, and advance equity and opportunity throughout the State of New
York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to commemorate The Key
Awards, to be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the United Palace in New
York City; and
WHEREAS, Presented by the Office of Safety & Prevention Partnerships
in collaboration with Urban Village Mentoring, The Key Awards honor
outstanding individuals and organizations whose stories and service are
changing lives-one story at a time; and
WHEREAS, This event stands as a powerful platform for recognizing
leadership, resilience, and the transformative impact of mentorship,
prevention, and community-driven solutions in the lives of New York's
youth and families; and
WHEREAS, The Key Awards bring together public servants, educators,
advocates, and community members in shared commitment to promote
justice, hope, and healing; and
WHEREAS, Supported by esteemed partners including the Department of
Youth and Community Development (DYCD), NYC Public Schools, NYC Service,
and PIVOT for Success, The Key Awards reflect a broad coalition
dedicated to reducing violence, nurturing potential, and building a
safer, stronger New York City; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body commends the Office of Safety &
Prevention Partnerships and Urban Village Mentoring upon the occasion of
hosting The Key Awards, providing an inspiring space to honor unsung
heroes and foster the next generation of community leaders; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate The Key Awards, to be held on June 3, 2025, and to applaud
the Office of Safety & Prevention Partnerships and Urban Village
Mentoring for their leadership in advancing positive change across our
communities; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the organizers of The Key Awards.
