HONORING the 2025 Unlabelled Awards All White Gala
on August 30, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend exemplary cultural events that uplift, inspire, and affirm the
contributions of individuals and organizations across New York State and
beyond; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to honor the
2025 Unlabelled Awards All White Gala, to be held on Saturday, August
30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, The Unlabelled Awards is a premier recognition platform
designed to honor excellence across diverse fields and uplift
individuals who make meaningful, often unheralded, contributions to
their communities and industries; and

WHEREAS, The 2025 All White Gala continues this impactful tradition
with an evening that brings together thought leaders, visionaries, and
changemakers from across the cultural, civic, and corporate spectrum,
celebrating Black excellence in its many forms; and

WHEREAS, Award categories include but are not limited to:
Trailblazer, Creative, Civic Leader, Humanitarian, Entrepreneur,
Educator, and Legacy Award-each designed to spotlight those who lead by
example and uplift others in the process; and

WHEREAS, The Unlabelled Awards provides an affirming and celebratory
space that resists stereotypes and promotes authenticity, leadership,
and innovation, all while encouraging community engagement and
mentorship; and

WHEREAS, Events such as the Unlabelled Awards Gala not only showcase
the achievements of today's leaders but also inspire future generations
to rise with purpose and pride; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the 2025 Unlabelled Awards All White Gala and all its
distinguished honorees for their enduring contributions to excellence,
equity, and empowerment; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Carol Tia Dunkley, Founder and President of the
Unlabelled Awards in recognition of this auspicious occasion.
