CONGRATULATING Kevin Bittner upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the James Quinn
Award from the New York Farm Bureau
WHEREAS, Kevin Bittner has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Kevin
Bittner upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the James
Quinn Award, presented to him on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, by the New
York Farm Bureau at the annual meeting at the Turning Stone Resort
Casino in Verona, New York; and
WHEREAS, The New York Farm Bureau provides the resources that
support and enrich the rural way of life, and through the efforts of the
organization, farmers have learned to work together to promote more
efficient production, better marketing, fair legislation, and a safe
food supply and work environment; and
WHEREAS, The James Quinn Award is the second highest award in the
organization and goes to an individual who has gone above and beyond in
supporting the NY Farm Bureau and NY Agriculture during the past year;
and
WHEREAS, Locally, Kevin Bittner has supported agriculture by serving
as the NY Farm Bureau Niagara County President, where he held positions
on several county committees; he helped plan the March Ag Forum, where
he acted as emcee, promoted agricultural concerns to the public and
media, and gave presentations to various other organizations such as the
Lions Clubs; and
WHEREAS, On a state level, Kevin Bittner serves on the Resolutions
Committee for the NY Farm Bureau which coordinates each county's
priorities into a coordinated format; he also serves on the advisory
board for the Cornell University Geneva Experimental Station; and
WHEREAS, Kevin Bittner is the orchard manager for Bittner Singer
Farms based in Appleton, New York; his father Jim is managing partner
and brother David is field manager for the farm; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Kevin Bittner has displayed
through his continual support of this great State's agricultural growth;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Kevin Bittner upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the James Quinn Award from the New York Farm Bureau; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kevin Bittner.
