CONGRATULATING the York Middle/High School Girls
Varsity Volleyball Team upon the occasion of winning
the NYSPHSAA Class D State Championship

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
York Middle/High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team upon the occasion
of winning their first-ever NYSPHSAA Class D State Championship at the
Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls, New York, on Sunday, November 23,
2025; to the praise and applause of their excited fans, the Golden
Knights defeated Candor Senior High School in a 3-0 victory to win the
championship; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of purple and gold,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the York Middle/High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team
throughout their journey as they ended their season with an impressive
overall 19-1 record; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as volleyball, which demands quick
decision-making, intense concentration, and a high level of physical
prowess, Head Coach Kaitlin Kolb and her skilled coaching staff worked
hard to hone the skills of this championship team, teaching these
outstanding athletes lessons which will prove invaluable both on and off
the court; and

WHEREAS, Coach Kaitlin Kolb and all of the outstanding athletes on
the York Middle/High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team have clearly
displayed growth and success, contributing to their school's mission of
rising to the challenge; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the York Middle/High School Girls Varsity
Volleyball Team: Madalena Balisciano, Jordan Ray, Bailey Orman, Erin
Knapp, Jaelyn "JJ" Kane, Bree Parsons, Fiona Grant, Madison Ezard, Kylee
Koronas, Leah Cuozzo, Sylvianna Heineman, and CC Biondo; Head Coach
Kaitlin Kolb; and Assistant Coaches Mikayla Johnson, Lonni Carroll, Beth
Niedermaier and Steven Carroll on their outstanding season and winning
the NYSPHSAA Class D State Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the York Middle/High School Girls Varsity
Volleyball Team; Head Coach Kaitlin Kolb; Assistant Coaches Mikayla

Johnson, Lonni Carroll, Beth Niedermaier and Steven Carroll;
Superintendent David Furletti; Athletic Director Kurt Schneider; and
School Board President Daniel Ayers.
