Senate Resolution No. 1406

MOURNING the death of George Price, distinguished
citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavors
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, George Price of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, died on
September 29, 2025, at the age of 99; and

WHEREAS, Born on June 13, 1926, in Jamaica, New York, George Price
lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, curiosity, and
resilience; and

WHEREAS, George Price distinguished himself in his profession and by
his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and

WHEREAS, After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy during
World War II, George Price built a successful career as a chemical
engineer; and

WHEREAS, George Price was known as a lifelong learner who delighted
in exploring new ideas and sharing his knowledge with others; and

WHEREAS, George Price was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lyn; and
his son, Gregg; he is survived by his son, Glenn; his three
granddaughters, Tina, Kalli, and Deme; and his daughter-in-law, Laureen;
who will all carry forward his love, wisdom, and spirit; and

WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, George Price is
remembered for his intelligence, hardworking nature, sweet personality,
and as a role model that was a source of comfort, humor, and unwavering
love; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, George Price leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all he
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of George Price, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of George Price.
