MOURNING the death of Lawrence Bartolotti Sr.,
distinguished citizen, firefighter, veteran, and
devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and this
great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. of New York State died on Thursday,
October 16, 2025, at the age of 92; and

WHEREAS, Born to Rocco and Marianna (Catania) Bartolotti in Bronx,
New York, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. lived a life full of love and
dedication to his family, community, and country; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. distinguished himself in his
profession and by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to
the welfare of his community; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a strong sense of duty, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr.
served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; during his
service he refined the courage and patriotism that defined his
character; and

WHEREAS, After returning to civilian life, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr.
married his beloved wife, Angela, on September 19, 1959, in Bronx, New
York; together, they moved to East Northport, New York, to start their
family and later moved to Carmel, New York; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. worked tirelessly to renovate his
Carmel, New York, home that would provide for his extended family for
years to come; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. worked in various roles and
positions in his lifetime, including as an electronic technician with
IBM; and

WHEREAS, One of Lawrence Bartolotti Sr.'s greatest qualities was his
commitment to his local community; he served his neighbors as a member
of the Lake Carmel Fire Department, vice president of Kent Seniors, poll
worker for the Board of Elections, and driver for the Office of Senior
Resources; and

WHEREAS, Those who knew Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. can attest to his
generosity, kind spirit, and loving nature; he was known to enjoy the
simple pleasures of life, such as gathering with family, serving his
community, watching the Yankees, listening to music, and working on
personal projects; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr.'s commitment to excellence, and his
spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and


WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. is predeceased by his loving wife,
Angela Bartolotti; and his sisters, Carol, Minerva, and Frances; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. is survived by his loving children,
Mariann Lippolis, Juliann (Ciro) Lippolis, Michael (Aitza) Bartolotti,
and Lawrence (Linda) Bartolotti; his seven grandchildren, Kristen
Lippolis, Lisa (Michael) O'Connor, Emily Bartolotti, and Victoria
Bartolotti; his two great-grandchildren, Lucas O'Connor and Makayla
O'Connor; and his brother, Frank Bartolotti; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Lawrence Bartolotti Sr. leaves behind a legacy which will
long endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory
to all he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Lawrence Bartolotti Sr., distinguished citizen,
firefighter, veteran, and devoted member of his community; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Lawrence Bartolotti Sr.
