COMMEMORATING Jubilee Day to be celebrated by the
Desert of New York, Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order
Nobles Mystic Shrine on June 7, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commemorate occasions of deep historical, cultural, and spiritual
significance that honor freedom, resilience, faith, and collective
progress and reaffirm the enduring values of service, unity, and uplift
within our communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate Jubilee Day, to be observed on Sunday, June 7, 2026, by the
Desert of New York, Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine
(A.E.A.O.N.M.S.); and

WHEREAS, Jubilee Day is a sacred and celebratory observance within
the Prince Hall Shriner tradition, commemorating liberation, renewal,
and thanksgiving; it draws its name and spirit from the Biblical concept
of Jubilee, which is a time of restoration, freedom, forgiveness, and
communal rejoicing, and serves as a reminder of the triumph of
perseverance over bondage and adversity; and

WHEREAS, Within the Prince Hall Masonic and Shriner tradition,
Jubilee Day holds profound historical and cultural meaning, honoring the
emancipation legacy of African-descended people, the victories achieved
through faith and fortitude, and the ongoing commitment to justice,
brotherhood, and collective responsibility; and

WHEREAS, The Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine, an
appendant body of Prince Hall Freemasonry, has long stood as a pillar of
philanthropy, civic leadership, and fraternal unity, advancing
charitable works, community empowerment, youth development, and
humanitarian service throughout the State of New York and beyond; and

WHEREAS, The Desert of New York continues to uphold these noble
traditions through observances, such as Jubilee Day, which bring
together Nobles, Daughters, families, and community members in
fellowship, reflection, worship, and celebration of shared heritage and
purpose; and

WHEREAS, The 2026 observance of Jubilee Day is conducted under the
esteemed leadership of HPIP Jimmie Chaple, Imperial Deputy of the Desert
of New York, and HPIC Cassandra Duff, Imperial Deputy for the Desert of
New York, whose guidance, stewardship, and devotion exemplify the
highest ideals of the Shrine and reinforce its mission of service,
unity, and enlightened leadership; and

WHEREAS, Jubilee Day serves not only as a commemoration of the past
but also as a reaffirmation of hope for the future, encouraging
continued service, moral fortitude, and collective advancement in the
spirit of brotherly love, relief, and truth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate Jubilee Day, to be observed on June 7, 2026, by the Desert
of New York, Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine, and to
recognize its profound historical, cultural, and spiritual significance;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body extend its sincere commendation
to HPIP Jimmie Chaple, Imperial Deputy of the Desert of New York, HPIC
Cassandra Duff, Imperial Deputy for the Desert of New York, and the
Nobles and Daughters of the Desert of New York for their continued
dedication to faith, freedom, fraternity, and service to the community;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to HPIP Jimmie Chaple, HPIC Cassandra Duff, and the Desert
of New York, A.E.A.O.N.M.S.
