HONORING Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey upon the
occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Community Service Award in Mentorship & Leadership
by Young, Gifted, & Black Entrepreneurial Awards,
Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals whose leadership, compassion, and professional
excellence have advanced patient-centered care and strengthened
healthcare delivery within their communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full-accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the Community Service Award in Mentorship & Leadership by
Young, Gifted, & Black Entrepreneurial Awards, Inc., on Wednesday,
February 25, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 2006 by Carl Gray, the Young, Gifted, & Black
Entrepreneurial Awards, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
recognizing distinguished individuals of color across the Americas, the
Caribbean, and Africa, celebrating "Unsung Heroes and Heroines" whose
leadership, resilience, and service have made a lasting impact across
business, healthcare, culture, and community development; and

WHEREAS, Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey has devoted her life to the
uplifting of humanity through her service in the Moorish Science Temple
of America - New York, where she serves as Secretary, and at the
national level as National Secretary of the United Moorish Science
Temple of America, working under the principles of love, truth, peace,
Freedom, and Justice; and

WHEREAS, Born in Haiti and brought to the mainland of North America
at the age of six, Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey developed an early
appreciation for faith, family, and cultural identity, which has guided
her lifelong commitment to community service, mentorship, and spiritual
empowerment; and

WHEREAS, Professionally, Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey has over three
decades of expertise as a legal secretary, spanning real estate,
intellectual property, private banking, and civil law, demonstrating
precision, integrity, and steadfast commitment to justice; and

WHEREAS, As co-founder of Balance Body Beyond LLC, she has promoted
holistic health, wellness, and community education, helping individuals
achieve balance of mind, body, and spirit, and extending her mission of
mentorship and service to communities seeking growth and empowerment;
and

WHEREAS, Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey is a devoted mother whose
dedication to family and community continues to inspire those around
her, reflecting a life committed to service, mentorship, and divine
purpose; and


WHEREAS, Through her unwavering dedication, Sheikess Emilie Nader
Bey has advanced cultural understanding, nurtured leadership in others,
and embodied the principles of service, faith, and excellence; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey, upon her receipt of the Community
Service Award in Mentorship & Leadership, and to commend her
extraordinary contributions to community upliftment, mentorship, and
cultural empowerment; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sheikess Emilie Nader Bey as an expression of the highest
respect and appreciation of this Legislative Body.
