HONORING Nur-Muhammad Tofader, Ph.D., upon the
occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Lifetime Achievement Award in Multimedia Services by
Young, Gifted, & Black Entrepreneurial Awards, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals whose visionary leadership, innovation, and service
have expanded access to information, strengthened cultural
understanding, and amplified underrepresented voices across media,
technology, and global communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to honor
Nur-Muhammad Tofader, Ph.D., founder, media executive, scientist, and
global communications leader, upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Multimedia Services by
Young, Gifted, & Black Entrepreneurial Awards, Inc., on Wednesday,
February 25, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 2006 by Carl Gray, Young, Gifted, & Black
Entrepreneurial Awards, Inc., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
recognizing distinguished individuals of color across the Americas, the
Caribbean, and Africa, celebrating "Unsung Heroes and Heroines" whose
leadership, resilience, and service have made a lasting impact across
business, media, technology, culture, and community development; and

WHEREAS, Born and raised in Chandpur, Bangladesh, and shaped by a
journey rooted in academic excellence and global curiosity, Nur-Muhammad
Tofader immigrated to the United States in the 1970s to pursue higher
education and advanced scientific research, embodying the perseverance
and promise of the immigrant experience; and

WHEREAS, Nur-Muhammad Tofader pursued rigorous academic training in
applied physics and electronics at the University of Dhaka, furthered
his studies at the University of California, Los Angeles in nuclear
science and applied physics, and earned his Ph.D., establishing a
foundation of intellectual discipline and technical expertise; and

WHEREAS, Nur-Muhammad Tofader served the United States government as
a nuclear science researcher, contributing alongside leading scientists
in advanced research before transitioning into entrepreneurship, where
he would apply scientific precision and ethical purpose to the field of
media and broadcasting; and

WHEREAS, Motivated by a commitment to independent journalism and the
representation of community-centered perspectives, Nur-Muhammad Tofader
co-founded Bangladesh Millennium TV in 2006-2007, later establishing
Millennium Multimedia Corporation, creating a platform dedicated to free
expression, public accountability, and cultural integrity; and

WHEREAS, Expanding this mission globally, Nur-Muhammad Tofader
launched Millennium TV USA in 2012, followed by Millennium News24,
broadcasting from Dhaka to international audiences and establishing a

multimedia network that reaches viewers worldwide through Roku, Apple
TV, Amazon Fire TV, Horizon Satellite, mobile applications, and digital
streaming platforms; and

WHEREAS, Under Nur-Muhammad Tofader's visionary leadership,
MillenniumTV delivers diverse programming across news, arts, culture,
education, religion, and legal awareness, serving audiences of all
backgrounds while fostering cross-cultural dialogue, civic engagement,
and community empowerment; and

WHEREAS, Guided by faith, humility, and service, Nur-Muhammad
Tofader has dedicated his life's work to bridging communities across
borders, elevating marginalized voices, and advancing a media landscape
rooted in truth, dignity, and shared humanity; and

WHEREAS, Through a lifetime of innovation, perseverance, and
principled leadership in multimedia services, Nur-Muhammad Tofader has
left an enduring imprint on global broadcasting and independent media,
inspiring future generations of media professionals and community
advocates; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nur-Muhammad Tofader, Ph.D., upon the occasion of his designation
as recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Multimedia Services by
Young, Gifted, & Black Entrepreneurial Awards, Inc., and to commend his
extraordinary contributions to independent media, global communication,
and community empowerment; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Nur-Muhammad Tofader, Ph.D., as an expression of the
highest respect and appreciation of this Legislative Body.
