HONORING Danielle Bickel, Owner and Operator of
Strokes Painting & Contracting, upon the occasion of
her designation as an Emerging Entrepreneur by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated on
March 19, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
individuals whose entrepreneurial leadership, professional excellence,
and commitment to community advancement contribute meaningfully to the
economic strength and social progress of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Danielle Bickel, Owner and Operator of Strokes Painting & Contracting,
upon the occasion of her designation as an Emerging Entrepreneur by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated at its 53rd Annual Awards
Gala on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Samuel's Grande Manor in
Williamsville, New York; and

WHEREAS, Danielle Bickel is the Owner and Operator of Strokes
Painting & Contracting, a woman-owned and operated company based in
Buffalo, New York, built upon a foundation of skill, passion, and an
unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship; and

WHEREAS, Strokes Painting & Contracting was founded with a clear and
purposeful vision: to deliver personalized service, exceptional
workmanship, and meticulous attention to detail, while treating each
client's home with care, respect, and collaboration throughout every
phase of a project; and

WHEREAS, Under Danielle Bickel's leadership, Strokes has grown into
a trusted team of experienced professionals who share a deep
appreciation for the artistry of painting and the pride of a job done
right, consistently exceeding client expectations and enhancing the
spaces in which families live, work, and create memories; and

WHEREAS, With a career spanning more than two decades, Danielle
Bickel has distinguished herself as a prominent figure in the
construction industry, not only for her business success but also for
her steadfast commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the
field; and

WHEREAS, Danielle Bickel is widely recognized for her instrumental
role in the creation of RISEUP, the Diversity and Inclusion Group of The
Construction Exchange, which has become a driving force in promoting
inclusive hiring practices, facilitating meaningful dialogue, and
advancing educational initiatives throughout the construction sector;
and

WHEREAS, Through her guidance and leadership, RISEUP has fostered
collaboration and awareness across the industry, establishing Danielle
Bickel as a respected advocate and beacon of positive change; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her work with RISEUP, Danielle Bickel
remains actively engaged in professional organizations, serving as an
Events Committee Member for both the Building Owners and Managers
Association (BOMA) and The Construction Exchange of Western New York,
where she helps organize industry-leading events and encourages
knowledge-sharing among construction professionals; and

WHEREAS, Danielle Bickel's entrepreneurial success, combined with
her unwavering dedication to leadership, inclusion, and community
engagement, exemplifies the qualities celebrated by the Clarence Chamber
of Commerce's Emerging Entrepreneur distinction; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Danielle Bickel upon the occasion of her designation as an
Emerging Entrepreneur by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce on March 19,
2026; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Danielle Bickel, Strokes Painting & Contracting.
