HONORING Michael "Taco" Marrotta upon the occasion
of his retirement

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor and
extol those individuals who perform exemplary service on behalf of their
communities and State, dedicating their energy and efforts to bettering
the lives of others; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Michael "Taco" Marrotta upon the occasion of his retirement from the New
York State Office of General Services after a decade of service; and

WHEREAS, Michael Marrotta has served with the New York State Office
of General Services (OGS) since April 2015; he is retiring from his
position as Facility Operation Assistant 1; and

WHEREAS, Michael Marrotta has also recently retired from his
military service in the United States Army where he served for 24 years;
he was raised in East Utica, New York, and in addition to his tenure
with the OGS, he has completed work with the New York State Canal
System; and

WHEREAS, On January 1, 2026, Michael Marrotta retired from the New
York State Office of General Services after a decade of dedicated
service; and

WHEREAS, Such service, which is truly the lifeblood of our
communities and State, too often goes unrecognized and unheralded; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michael "Taco" Marrotta upon the occasion of his retirement; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Michael "Taco" Marrotta.
