HONORING Anna Hewitt-Channell upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Trailblazer
Award by the North Country Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Anna Hewitt-Channell upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Trailblazer Award by the North Country Chamber of Commerce,
celebrated at its 114th Annual Awards Dinner on Friday, January 30,
2026, at the Warren Ballroom at SUNY Plattsburgh; and

WHEREAS, Anna Hewitt-Channell is a rising community leader and the
business development and marketing manager for Dannemora Federal Credit
Union, where she is regarded for bringing energy, innovation, and a
genuine commitment to building meaningful relationships; and

WHEREAS, The North Country Chamber of Commerce proudly recognized
this esteemed honoree, Anna Hewitt-Channell, for her work supporting
local charities, nonprofits, schools and initiatives to strengthen the
region; and

WHEREAS, Ever involved in her community, Anna Hewitt-Channell is an
ambassador for the North Country Chamber of Commerce; serves on the
Mountain Lake PBS board as chair of the Development Committee; is the
founder and co-chair of the Michigan Festival, which she considers one
of her proudest achievements; and is an active member of Noon Rotary
Club, serving as chair of the Fundraising Committee and chair of the
Public Relations Committee; respected and trusted by her peers, Anna
Hewitt-Channell is slated to serve as rotary president in 2027; and

WHEREAS, Further, Anna Hewitt-Channell's leadership also extends
beyond the local level through her service on the Conference and Diamond
Award Committees for America's Credit Unions; and

WHEREAS, Businesses and their impactful leaders that give of their
time and energies to serve the best interests of their communities are
an asset beyond remuneration and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional leader and her contributions to her local
and State economies and communities, fully confident that she will
continue to enjoy the sparkling successes she has experienced thus far;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Anna Hewitt-Channell upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the Trailblazer Award by the North Country Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Anna Hewitt-Channell.
