HONORING Dr. Dior Fall upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition at the Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Visionary Awards Gala on
March 22, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those extraordinary individuals whose humanitarian service,
visionary leadership, and global advocacy reflect the enduring
principles of justice, equality, and peace championed by Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dr. Dior Fall upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Visionary Awards Gala on
Sunday, March 22, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Dior Fall is an internationally recognized humanitarian
leader, peace advocate, and diplomatic strategist whose life's work is
dedicated to advancing women's empowerment, sustainable development, and
cross-cultural collaboration across the United States, Africa, and
global diaspora communities; and

WHEREAS, As founder and president of 1000 Shades of Women Foundation
International, Dr. Dior Fall leads a registered nonprofit organization
committed to promoting human rights, educational access, health equity,
and economic opportunity for underserved and vulnerable populations
worldwide; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Dior Fall's global initiatives align with the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including the advancement of
health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, reduced
inequalities, and the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies,
reflecting a comprehensive and forward-thinking model of humanitarian
impact; and

WHEREAS, Through her leadership, the foundation convenes high-level
diplomatic forums, humanitarian missions, and international partnerships
that bridge civil society, government leadership, and multilateral
institutions to advance inclusive and sustainable development; and

WHEREAS, She has organized and participated in global programming
alongside United Nations platforms, including the Commission on the
Status of Women and the High-Level Political Forum in New York, where
she facilitates policy dialogue, diplomatic engagement, and advocacy
initiatives centered on women's leadership and social equity; and

WHEREAS, Under her stewardship, 1000 Shades of Women Foundation
International has delivered humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and
educational resources to underserved communities; created leadership and
entrepreneurship programs for women and youth; hosted international
conferences and interfaith dialogues promoting peacebuilding; and

championed advocacy initiatives supporting survivors of domestic
violence, disability inclusion, and healthcare access; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Dior Fall also serves as a Global Goodwill Ambassador
for the International Human Rights Commission and holds leadership roles
within diaspora and Pan-African development networks, advancing
cross-border cooperation, trade development, and social impact
initiatives that strengthen global solidarity; and

WHEREAS, In recognition of her extraordinary service, Dr. Dior Fall
is a recipient of the President's Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring
her unwavering dedication to ethical leadership, humanitarian
advancement, and community empowerment; and

WHEREAS, Guided by her personal motto, "Empowering Resilience.
Building Legacy. Creating Global Impact," Dr. Dior Fall continues to
champion a world where women lead boldly, communities flourish
equitably, and peace is built through justice, dignity, and collective
action; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Dior Fall upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Visionary Awards Gala,
and to commend her for her outstanding humanitarian leadership,
diplomatic advocacy, and global commitment to empowerment and peace; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Dior Fall as a lasting expression of the highest
respect and admiration of this Legislative Body.
