COMMENDING the Lower Hudson Valley Diamond
Foundation and the New Rochelle/White Plains Alumni
Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. upon the
occasion of hosting their Annual Scholarship
Fundraiser Gala on March 21, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished organizations whose steadfast commitment to
education, leadership, and service strengthens communities and empowers
future generations; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Lower Hudson Valley Diamond Foundation and the New
Rochelle/White Plains Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
upon the occasion of hosting its Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Gala on
Saturday, March 21, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., founded on January 5,
1911, at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, has for more than a
century upheld the ideals of achievement in every field of human
endeavor, fostering leadership, scholarship, and brotherhood among its
members; and

WHEREAS, The New Rochelle/White Plains Alumni Chapter, led by
Polemarch Eddie Campbell, continues to advance these ideals through
scholarships, mentorship programs, and civic engagement, serving as a
beacon of guidance and inspiration to young men and women in the Lower
Hudson Valley; and

WHEREAS, The Lower Hudson Valley Diamond Foundation, as a dedicated
philanthropic partner of the chapter, supports these programs by raising
essential funds to provide scholarships, develop educational
initiatives, and amplify the positive impact of Kappa Alpha Psi within
the community; and

WHEREAS, Through their enduring commitment to the principles of
Kappa Alpha Psi- achievement, service, and fellowship-the chapter and
foundation embody the fraternity's timeless mission of cultivating
leaders, uplifting communities, and celebrating excellence in
scholarship and character; and

WHEREAS, The Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Gala provides a
distinguished occasion to honor outstanding students, recognize the
contributions of chapter members, and reinforce the fraternity's legacy
of mentorship, civic responsibility, and community empowerment; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Lower Hudson Valley Diamond Foundation and the New
Rochelle/White Plains Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
upon the occasion of hosting their Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Gala,
and to extend sincere appreciation to Polemarch Eddie Campbell, chapter

members, and supporters for their unwavering dedication to leadership,
scholarship, and community service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the leadership of the Lower Hudson Valley Diamond
Foundation and the New Rochelle/White Plains Alumni Chapter as a lasting
expression of the highest respect and admiration of this Legislative
Body.
