HONORING Danny and Lisa Rosen upon the occasion of
their designation as recipients of the Young Israel
of Plainview Community Leadership Award for
Outstanding Service to the Community

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Danny and Lisa Rosen have given not only their time and
energies, but also their competence, intelligence, and leadership, and
consequently have been designated for this special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Danny and
Lisa Rosen upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the
Young Israel of Plainview Community Leadership Award for Outstanding
Service to the Community to be celebrated on Sunday, March 22, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Danny and Lisa Rosen have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and
have always given of themselves unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their service, a period of
constructive involvement, Danny and Lisa Rosen have stood constant in
dignity, good grace, and humor; and

WHEREAS, After moving to Plainview, New York in 2013, Danny and Lisa
Rosen were first introduced to the Young Isreal community in 2017 when
their son, Jared, enrolled in Nursery Aleph at HANC Plainview; they were
so impressed by the community's warm, vibrant, and welcoming nature,
they decided to move closer and officially join YIP in 2019; and

WHEREAS, Together, Danny and Lisa Rosen raise their two children
Jared and Zachary in Plainview and are proud to be part of the Young
Isreal community; and

WHEREAS, In his professional life, Danny Rosen is a Senior Technical
Program Manager at Google where he founded the Google Jewish Customs
project and was responsible for launching the "What Time is Shabbat?"
feature; and

WHEREAS, Danny Rosen is an active participant on the YIP Board,
where he heads the Marketing Committee and led the creation of YIP's
backyard project; and

WHEREAS, Lisa Rosen serves as the Senior Associate Provost for
Institutional Research and Strategic Analysis at Hofstra University,
where she oversees the university's reporting and data analytics hub;
and

WHEREAS, Together, Danny and Lisa Rosen prioritize giving back to
the community by supporting shul initiatives, hosting Shabbos meals and
participating in meal trains; by leading through example, they hope to

model for Jared and Zachary the vital importance of Chesed and Tikkun
Olam; and

WHEREAS, Both avid readers, Danny and Lisa Rosen enjoy hiking,
playing pinball, bowling, and traveling with their children; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by
individuals for the benefit of others which Danny and Lisa Rosen have
displayed throughout their life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Danny and Lisa Rosen upon the occasion of their designation as
recipients of the Young Israel of Plainview Community Leadership Award
for Outstanding Service to the Community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Danny and Lisa Rosen.
