HONORING Fran and Morris Gad upon the occasion of
their designation as recipients of the Dor L'Dor
Award by the North Shore Hebrew Academy at its 71st
Annual Dinner Celebration on March 22, 2026

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Fran and Morris Gad has given not only their time and
energy, but also their competence, intelligence, and leadership, and
consequently have been designated for this special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Fran and
Morris Gad upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the
Dor L'Dor Award by the North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) at its 71st
Annual Dinner Celebration at the Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation on
Sunday, March 22, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Fran and Morris Gad have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and
have always given of themselves unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Morris Gad served with steadfast dedication as financial
secretary of the NSHA Board of Directors and treasurer of the NSHA High
School Board; and

WHEREAS, Fran Gad was an active and proud member of the Parent
Teacher Association, contributing to the Holiday Committee as well as
the Siddur and Chumash Assembly committees; and

WHEREAS, With strong senses of communal responsibility, and
recognizing the need for a preeminent yeshiva high school in the Great
Neck community, Fran and Morris Gad helped mobilize communal support to
bring that vision to life; and

WHEREAS, Fran and Morris Gad's commitment to their community and to
NSHA deepened when they became a Founding Family of NSHA High School,
dedicating their vision, passion, leadership, and resources to its
establishment; and

WHEREAS, Fran and Morris Gad's children, Sara and Jonathan Tsur,
Dina and David Gad, and Michael and Amanda Gad, exemplify lives guided
by Torah values instilled through their NSHA education, and are
undoubtedly proud of their loving and impactful parents; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their service, a period of
constructive involvement, Fran and Morris Gad have stood constant in
dignity, good grace, and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by
individuals for the benefit of others which Fran and Morris Gad have
displayed throughout their life; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Fran and Morris Gad upon the occasion of their designation as
recipients of the Dor L'Dor Award by the North Shore Hebrew Academy at
its 71st Annual Dinner Celebration; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Fran and Morris Gad.
