CONGRATULATING Charles Jettmar upon the occasion
of receiving the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout,
the most prestigious of Scouting honors, on March
22, 2026

WHEREAS, Charles Jettmar, through his diligence and rigorous
efforts, has achieved Scouting's highest and most prestigious rank,
Eagle Scout; the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony will be held on Sunday,
March 22, 2026, at the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department, Company No.
2 in Manhasset, New York; and

WHEREAS, Charles Jettmar is a member of Scouts BSA Troop 71,
Plandome, New York; and

WHEREAS, Scouts BSA and its members are dedicated to the development
of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation; and

WHEREAS, The highest achievement of leadership in Scouting, earned
by approximately five percent of all Scouts, is the distinguished rank
of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, This outstanding young man has been involved in Scouting
for many years, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all
the necessary achievements, including completion of a community service
project, which was successfully planned, developed, and executed; and

WHEREAS, Charles Jettmar joined Troop 71 in 2020 after membership
with Cub Scout Pack 101, where he earned the esteemed Arrow of Light
Award; and

WHEREAS, For his project, Charles Jettmar worked with the Manhasset
Public Library to improve the landscaping in their parking lot, removing
invasive plant species and planting native environmentally beneficial
and visually appealing ones in their place; he worked diligently
alongside approximately two-dozen fellow Scouts from his troop, as well
as with his family members; and

WHEREAS, With natural leadership abilities, Charles Jettmar served
as Patrol Leader for most of his Scouting career, and later served as
Instructor during his final two years; and

WHEREAS, Charles Jettmar proudly planned and instructed two
successful STEM meetings independently, where he watched younger Scouts
compete in building the best skimmer and wind-powered cars; and

WHEREAS, Currently a junior at Manhasset High School, Charles
Jettmar is enrolled in three Advanced Placement classes and is a member
of the Math, Science, Tri-M Music, and National Honor Societies; he also
participates in Engineering Club and is a member of the Varsity Baseball
Team; and

WHEREAS, For the past four years, Charles Jettmar has volunteered
with the Manhasset Public Library, helping transfer donated books to the

Manhasset train station for commuters to enjoy during their commutes;
and

WHEREAS, Charles Jettmar's dedication to the safety and well-being
of the citizens of New York is represented through his project and
demonstrates his devotion to both community and commitment to others;
and

WHEREAS, As he goes forward in his academic career, Charles Jettmar
plans to attend college and pursue a major in engineering, all while
continuing to uphold the ideals and principles of Scouting America; and

WHEREAS, Charles Jettmar's perseverance in rising through the ranks
to Eagle Scout is a strong indication of his ability to master difficult
tasks; his accomplishment will enable him to emerge as a leader, fully
equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex society; and

WHEREAS, This new Eagle Scout is a credit to his family, his school,
his community, his State, and his Nation, and may now stand with pride
as he assess his achievements, experiences the satisfaction of his
labors, and the joy of his accomplishments, eager to face the new
experiences of a challenging world; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Charles Jettmar upon the occasion of receiving the
distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, the most prestigious of Scouting
honors, on March 22, 2026; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Eagle Scout Charles Jettner.
