BY: Senator GRIFFO

COMMEMORATING the 30th Anniversary of Oneida
Carpets

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the

passed down to his sons, Scott and Lynn White, and the family business
is now operated by Scott, Lynn, Barbara, and Tara White; and

the legacy and vision of their father, and Scott, Lynn, Barbara, and
Tara White still go into the community to do measurements and provide
estimates for customers; and

WHEREAS, Oneida Carpets has faced significant hardships throughout
its 30 years of operation, including a fire in 2000 that required the
business to relocate to its current location on Madison Street, the
housing market crash of 2008, and the pandemic in March of 2020; despite
these hardships, Oneida Carpets has persevered and remained strong and
successful; and

WHEREAS, Oneida Carpets is committed to providing a variety of
styles, textures, and colors of flooring to the central New York region,
and their services have greatly enhanced the lives and homes of
countless New Yorkers; and

has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the community; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
