HONORING Poinsettia Chapter No. 76 upon the
occasion of hosting its Dinner Dance on April 18,
2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished organizations within the Prince Hall Masonic
family whose unwavering dedication to charity, fellowship, and service
continues to uplift communities and inspire future generations; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Poinsettia Chapter No. 76, Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star, upon
the occasion of hosting its Dinner Dance on Saturday, April 18, 2026;
and

WHEREAS, As a proud chapter within the Third District of the State
of New York, Poinsettia Chapter No. 76 has long exemplified the highest
ideals of the order, laboring faithfully in the vineyard of service and
demonstrating a steadfast commitment to charity, truth, and
loving-kindness; and

WHEREAS, Under the distinguished leadership of Worthy Matron Tania
Hollensworth and Worthy Patron James Johnson, the chapter continues to
flourish, fostering unity, strengthening fraternal bonds, and advancing
meaningful initiatives that benefit the community at large; and

WHEREAS, The 2026 Dinner Dance stands as a cherished occasion of
fellowship and celebration, bringing together members, family, and
friends to reflect upon shared accomplishments and to honor those whose
service has made a lasting impact; and

WHEREAS, On this auspicious occasion, special recognition is
afforded to Junior Past Matron Linda Valentine, whose dedicated service
and commitment to the chapter have helped to guide and sustain its
mission with grace and distinction; and

WHEREAS, Further recognition is extended to Past Matron Margo E.
Abraham, whose leadership, wisdom, and enduring contributions have
strengthened the foundation of the chapter and inspired those who follow
in her path; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body also recognizes Cynthia Settles,
Director of the Falling Angels Sickle Cell Foundation, whose
compassionate advocacy and tireless efforts to raise awareness and
support individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease
exemplify the highest ideals of service to humanity; and

WHEREAS, Through their collective efforts and individual
contributions, these honorees embody the principles and virtues that
define the Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star, serving as shining
examples of leadership, compassion, and dedication; and

WHEREAS, Special recognition is hereby extended to the evening's
honorees; Junior Past Matron Linda Valentine, Past Matron Margo E.
Abraham, and Cynthia Settles for their outstanding contributions and
steadfast dedication to service; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper to recognize this meaningful
occasion and to commend those whose service continues to uplift and
inspire; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Poinsettia Chapter No. 76 upon the occasion of hosting its Dinner
Dance on April 18, 2026; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Poinsettia Chapter No. 76, Prince Hall Order of the
Eastern Star.
