CONGRATULATING the Finger Lakes Community College
Men's Volleyball Team upon the occasion of winning
its first-ever 2026 NJCAA Division III Men's
Volleyball National Championship

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in collegiate sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
Finger Lakes Community College Men's Volleyball Team upon the occasion
of winning its first-ever NJCAA Division III Men's Volleyball National
Championship at the College of DuLake in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, on
Saturday, April 23, 2026; to the praise and applause of their excited
fans, the Lakers defeated Ocean County College with a final score of 3-1
to win the championship; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of green and blue,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the Finger Lakes Community College Men's Volleyball Team
throughout their journey as they ended their season with an impressive
overall 22-4 record; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as volleyball, which demands quick
decision-making, intense concentration and a high level of physical
prowess, Head Coach Frank Clark and his skilled coaching staff worked
hard to hone the skills of this championship team, teaching these
outstanding athletes lessons which will prove invaluable both on and off
the court; and

WHEREAS, Coach Frank Clark and all of the outstanding athletes on
the Finger Lakes Community College Men's Volleyball Team have clearly
displayed growth and success, rising to the occasion and showcasing a
well-rounded and efficient team effort for the entirety of their season;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Finger Lakes Community College Men's
Volleyball Team: Adam Grbic, Jake Seklar, Darin Conrad, Annatolii
Stoliarenko, Braden Whitcomb, Cole Thomas, Jackson Blaszow, Ethan Bond,
Dominick Alvarado, Joseph Massey, Zach Sipos, Jack Donovan, Aiden
Maloney, Ben Zipprich, and Jaylen Ridgeway; Head Coach Frank Clark; and
Assistant Coach Ben Gardner on their outstanding season and winning the
2026 NJCAA Division III Men's Volleyball National Championship; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Finger Lakes Community College Men's
Volleyball Team, Head Coach Frank Clark, Assistant Coach Ben Gardner,
President Dr. Robert Nye, and Athletic Director Samantha Boccacino.
