HONORING Dyan Ducharme upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by Residents
Forward on June 4, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals whose professional excellence, civic leadership, and
dedicated public service have brought distinction to their communities
and inspired others through their achievements and generosity; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dyan Ducharme upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Residents Forward to be celebrated at its Annual Gala on
Thursday, June 4, 2026, at The Manhasset Bay Yacht Club; and

WHEREAS, Dyan Ducharme is the Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property
Group at Pryor Cashman LLP, where she provides strategic and hands-on
counsel to clients ranging from emerging artificial intelligence
startups to Fortune 100 companies; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished legal career, Dyan Ducharme
has litigated trademark, copyright, and false advertising matters at the
highest levels while helping businesses and brands secure and protect
their identities throughout the world; and

WHEREAS, Her extensive work spans a wide range of industries,
including technology, luxury goods, consumer products, financial
services, and e-commerce, earning her a reputation as one of the
nation's leading intellectual property attorneys; and

WHEREAS, In recognition of her outstanding professional
accomplishments, Dyan Ducharme has received numerous prestigious honors
and accolades, including recognition from Chambers, Managing IP as
"Trademark Prosecutor of the Year," Forbes Top 200 Lawyers, World
Trademark Review, and Crain's "Notable Women in the Law"; and

WHEREAS, Beyond her many professional achievements, Dyan Ducharme
has demonstrated an enduring commitment to public service and community
engagement through her generous provision of pro bono legal services and
her steadfast support of nonprofit organizations serving Port Washington
and surrounding communities; and

WHEREAS, Dyan Ducharme is a former board member and current legal
counsel to both the Parent Resource Center and Residents Forward, where
her leadership, guidance, and dedication have advanced the important
missions of these organizations and strengthened the community they
serve; and

WHEREAS, Through her distinguished legal career, philanthropic
spirit, and unwavering commitment to civic engagement, Dyan Ducharme has
exemplified the highest ideals of professional excellence and community
service; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dyan Ducharme upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Residents Forward on June 4, 2026, and to extend to her
its highest commendation and sincere gratitude for her many
contributions to the legal profession and the Port Washington community;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dyan Ducharme.
