COMMEMORATING the 3rd Annual Marine Park Alliance
Garden of Giving Gala on May 20, 2026, and
recognizing the organization's dedication to
environmental stewardship and community enhancement

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend organizations whose commitment to environmental preservation,
civic engagement, and community enrichment has enhanced the quality of
life for the residents of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, this Legislative Body is proud
to commemorate the 3rd Annual Marine Park Alliance Garden of Giving
Gala, to be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Marine Park Golf
House in Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Marine Park Alliance has demonstrated a steadfast
commitment to preserving, enhancing, and promoting Marine Park, one of
Brooklyn's largest and most treasured public green spaces, ensuring that
residents and visitors alike may continue to enjoy its environmental,
recreational, educational, and cultural benefits; and

WHEREAS, Through environmental stewardship initiatives, community
programming, volunteer engagement, beautification efforts, and public
advocacy, the Marine Park Alliance has played an essential role in
protecting natural habitats, promoting sustainability, and strengthening
community pride and civic participation throughout Brooklyn; and

WHEREAS, The Garden of Giving Gala serves as an important occasion
to celebrate community partnership, recognize civic and philanthropic
leadership, and raise critical support for the ongoing preservation and
improvement of Marine Park and its surrounding environment; and

WHEREAS, The 2026 Gala will honor distinguished leaders whose
service and contributions reflect a deep commitment to public service,
community development, and civic engagement; and

WHEREAS, The Marine Park Alliance's continued efforts exemplify the
importance of public-private collaboration in maintaining and enhancing
urban green spaces, promoting environmental education, and fostering a
greater sense of connection between residents and their communities; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body recognizes the invaluable
contributions of the Marine Park Alliance's leadership, volunteers,
supporters, and community partners, whose collective dedication has
helped ensure that Marine Park remains a vibrant and welcoming resource
for generations to come; and

WHEREAS, The observance of the Garden of Giving Gala provides an
opportunity to reaffirm the importance of environmental stewardship,
community collaboration, and civic engagement in sustaining the public
spaces that enrich the lives of all New Yorkers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 3rd Annual Marine Park Alliance Garden of Giving Gala on
May 20, 2026, and to recognize the organization's enduring dedication to
environmental stewardship, public service, and community enhancement;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the leadership of the Marine Park Alliance as an
expression of the esteem and appreciation of this Legislative Body for
its continued service to the people of the State of New York.
