COMMENDING Abu Bekr Court No. 74, Imperial Court
Daughters of Isis, A.E.A.O.N.M.S., upon the occasion
of hosting its Egyptian Masquerade Soiree on June
27, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose enduring commitment to sisterhood, charitable
service, and the traditions of the Shrine family has enriched the civic
life of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Abu Bekr Court No. 74, Imperial Court Daughters of Isis, upon
the occasion of hosting its Egyptian Masquerade Soiree on Saturday, June
27, 2026, in honor of the Edna Mayfield Past Commandresses Guild; and

WHEREAS, The Imperial Court Daughters of Isis is the women's
auxiliary body of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic
Shrine, an organization whose members have stood alongside the Nobles of
the Shrine as partners in fellowship, charity, and community service,
embodying the principles of sisterhood and civic engagement that have
always animated the Shrine family; and

WHEREAS, The A.E.A.O.N.M.S. was established on June 3, 1893, in
Chicago, Illinois, by thirteen Prince Hall Masons under the leadership
of John George Jones, and has grown into a worldwide fraternal
organization dedicated to brotherhood, charitable service, and community
uplift; Fraternal in its shared bonds and esoteric values, Social in the
joy of fellowship among its members, and Charitable in its unselfish
giving to organizations, including the NAACP, the Legal Defense Fund,
the Urban League, and the United Negro College Fund; and

WHEREAS, The Egyptian Masquerade Soiree is a celebration of the
artistry, elegance, and sisterhood that define Abu Bekr Court No. 74,
bringing together Daughters, Nobles, and guests in a spirit of
fellowship and festivity while honoring the enduring legacy of the Edna
Mayfield Past Commandresses Guild and the distinguished past leaders
whose service has shaped this Court; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor Abu Bekr
Court No. 74, the Edna Mayfield Past Commandresses Guild, Illustrious
Commandress Allison Pope-Hillman and all Daughters and Nobles of the Abu
Bekr Shrine family, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the organization and the community it serves; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Abu Bekr Court No. 74, Imperial Court Daughters of Isis,
A.E.A.O.N.M.S., upon the occasion of hosting its Egyptian Masquerade
Soiree on June 27, 2026, and to extend congratulations and deepest

appreciation to the Edna Mayfield Past Commandresses Guild and all who
make this celebration possible; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the officers and members of Abu Bekr Court No. 74,
Imperial Court Daughters of Isis, A.E.A.O.N.M.S., in recognition of
their steadfast commitment to sisterhood, service, and the traditions of
the Shrine family.
