COMMENDING Mt. Zion Council No. 29 and Mystic Tie
Council No. 8 upon the occasion of hosting their
Purple & Gold Event on June 27, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished organizations whose commitment to
fraternity, service, and community uplift continues to strengthen the
social fabric of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Mt. Zion Council No. 29 and Mystic Tie Council No. 8 upon the
occasion of hosting their Purple & Gold Event, to be held on June 27,
2026; and

WHEREAS, Prince Hall Affiliated Masonry has, for generations, stood
as a beacon of brotherhood, moral integrity, leadership, and charitable
service, fostering the development of men dedicated to improving
themselves, their families, and the communities in which they reside;
and

WHEREAS, Through their continued commitment to the timeless
principles of friendship, fidelity, truth, and service, Mt. Zion Council
No. 29 and Mystic Tie Council No. 8 have exemplified the highest ideals
of Masonic fellowship while preserving the rich traditions and heritage
of Prince Hall Masonry; and

WHEREAS, The Purple & Gold Event serves as a celebration of unity,
fellowship, and shared purpose, bringing together members, families,
friends, and supporters in a spirit of harmony and mutual respect while
strengthening the bonds that unite the Masonic family; and

WHEREAS, Such gatherings play an important role in fostering lasting
relationships among Companions and supporters of the Craft, encouraging
continued engagement in charitable endeavors, civic responsibility, and
community-building initiatives; and

WHEREAS, The members of Mt. Zion Council No. 29 and Mystic Tie
Council No. 8 have distinguished themselves through their dedication to
service, mentorship, and leadership, contributing to the advancement of
their communities and providing positive examples for future
generations; and

WHEREAS, The enduring strength of Prince Hall Masonry rests not only
in its historic legacy but also in the continued efforts of its members
to uphold the values of brotherly love, relief, and truth through
meaningful acts of fellowship and public service; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that this Legislative Body pause
in its deliberations to recognize the significance of this occasion and
to honor the contributions of Mt. Zion Council No. 29 and Mystic Tie
Council No. 8 to the communities they faithfully serve; now, therefore,
be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Mt. Zion Council No. 29 and Mystic Tie Council No. 8 upon the
occasion of hosting their Purple & Gold Event on June 27, 2026, and to
extend its sincere appreciation for their steadfast commitment to
fraternity, fellowship, community service, and the enduring principles
of Prince Hall Masonry; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the officers and members of Mt. Zion Council No. 29 and
Mystic Tie Council No. 8 as a lasting expression of the esteem in which
they are held by this Legislative Body.
