CONGRATULATING Madison Tuttle upon the occasion of
winning the racewalking national championship title
at the 2026 Adidas Indoor Track Nationals

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Madison Tuttle of Watkins Glen, New York, upon the occasion of winning
the racewalking national championship title at the 2026 Adidas Indoor
Track Nationals on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia;
and

WHEREAS, To the praise and applause of her excited fans, Madison
Tuttle beat her competitors with a time of 8:39.24 to capture the
championship; and

WHEREAS, The 2026 racewalking national championship title is Madison
Tuttle's second national championship title, having initially won in
2024, only one year after discovering the sport; and

WHEREAS, Family, friends, and the community at large loyally and
enthusiastically supported Madison Tuttle throughout her journey as she
continues to improve her overall record and add to her impressive
achievements; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as racewalking, which demands athletic
prowess, speed, and agility, Coach Erin Taylor-Talcott has worked hard
to hone the skills of this champion, teaching her lessons which will
prove invaluable both on and off track; and

WHEREAS, Coach Erin Taylor-Talcott and Madison Tuttle have clearly
utilized dedication, determination, and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of this
sport; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Madison Tuttle upon the occasion of winning the racewalking
national championship title at the 2026 Adidas Indoor Track Nationals;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Madison Tuttle and Coach Erin Taylor-Talcott.
