COMMENDING the Stuy Park Lions Club, Inc. upon the
occasion of hosting its 32nd Annual Red and White
Winter Gala on February 14, 2025
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those outstanding organizations whose purposeful endeavors
enhance the quality of life in their communities and beyond, and whose
commitment to service embodies the highest standards of excellence; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Stuy Park Lions Club, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its
32nd Annual Red and White Winter Gala, to be held on Friday, February
14, 2025, at Antun's Catering Hall, Queens Village, New York; and
WHEREAS, Chartered in 1991, the Stuy Park Lions Club is part of
Lions Clubs International, the largest service organization in the
world, with over 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries, united
by the mission of service; and
WHEREAS, For more than three decades, the Stuy Park Lions Club has
faithfully served the Brooklyn community, exemplifying the Lions' motto,
"We Serve," by supporting those less fortunate through initiatives
addressing hunger, education, health, and community development; and
WHEREAS, The Annual Red and White Winter Gala stands as the premier
fundraising event for the Stuy Park Lions Club, allowing the
organization to sustain its vital programs, honor its dedicated members
and supporters, and further its mission to make a meaningful difference
locally and globally; and
WHEREAS, In keeping with this year's theme, "We Serve" and Beyond
the Horizon, the Stuy Park Lions Club remains steadfast in its mission
to inspire hope, bring relief to those in need, and foster a spirit of
community and collaboration; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Stuy Park Lions Club is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its dedicated members, including Lion
Janet Felix, President, Lion Dian Duke, Event Chairperson, and the
entire Board of Directors, whose commitment to service and excellence
has had an immeasurable impact on the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to recognize and applaud the
outstanding achievements of the Stuy Park Lions Club, Inc., and to
extend its highest commendation to this remarkable organization, which
has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to service and humanity; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Stuy Park Lions Club, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its
32nd Annual Red and White Winter Gala on February 14, 2025, and to honor
its members for their steadfast commitment to building a stronger, more
compassionate community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lion Janet Felix, President; and the Stuy Park Lions
Club, Inc.
