HONORING Dr. Lamont O. Repollet, President of Kean
University, upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition at The Positive Community
Media's 6th Annual Great American Emancipation Day
Awards Celebration on February 22, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals whose leadership and dedication to education have
transformed lives and strengthened communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, this Legislative Body is justly
proud to honor Dr. Lamont O. Repollet, President of Kean University,
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition at The
Positive Community Media's 6th Annual Great American Emancipation Day
Awards Celebration on Saturday, February 22, 2025; and

WHEREAS, As a respected educator and transformative leader, Dr.
Lamont O. Repollet has dedicated his career to expanding access to
higher education, advancing academic excellence, and fostering student
success; and

WHEREAS, Under his visionary leadership, Kean University has
expanded its programs, partnerships, and community impact, ensuring that
students from diverse backgrounds receive a world-class education; and

WHEREAS, A strong advocate for equity in education, Dr. Lamont O.
Repollet has worked to increase opportunities for underserved students
and champion policies that drive academic innovation and institutional
growth; and

WHEREAS, His commitment to higher education, leadership development,
and student achievement has left a lasting impact on generations of
scholars and the broader academic community; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that this Legislative Body
recognize the extraordinary achievements of Dr. Lamont O. Repollet and
commend him for his dedication to higher education and community
empowerment; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Lamont O. Repollet upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition at The Positive Community Media's 6th Annual Great
American Emancipation Day Awards Celebration; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Lamont O. Repollet, President of Kean University.
