HONORING Trish Class upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition at the PRC Gala
2025: The PRC Parent Prom on March 7, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Trish Class upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
at the PRC Gala 2025: The PRC Parent Prom on Friday, March 7, 2025, at
Leonard's Palazzo in Great Neck, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Parent Resource Center of Port Washington, New York is
an organization dedicated to helping new parents become the most
successful version of themselves while supporting the growth and health
of children; and

WHEREAS, For over four decades, The Parent Resource Center (PRC) has
brought families with young children together to play, learn, grow, and
make lifelong friendships; the PRC also provides parenting workshops,
social events, recreational outings, summer enrichment programs, and a
myriad of developmental classes geared toward infants and toddlers; the
organization also holds a commitment to supporting economically
disadvantaged families; and

WHEREAS, This distinguished honoree, Trish Class, has been an
integral part of the Port Washington community since 1999; she dedicated
over ten years to raising her two cherished children as well as
volunteering in local schools and organizations, including the PRC
following a successful career in hospitality; and

WHEREAS, In 2015, Trish Class assumed a formal role at the Parent
Resource Center, working her way to serving as its Executive Director;
her leadership transformed the PRC into a thriving community hub, before
moving on to lead Residents Forward, an environmental nonprofit; and

WHEREAS, Trish Class' passion for community, family, and
sustainability has left an indelible mark on Port Washington and the
countless individuals that her selfless, passionate, and diligent work
has impacted; and

WHEREAS, Within every community, there are inevitably some
individuals who, by virtue of their energy, vision, and dedication,
command the greatest respect among their peers, colleagues, and
community at large; Trish Class is one such individual; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend
individuals of outstanding character who have shown initiative and
commitment toward constantly pursuing higher goals for themselves,

acting as role models of leadership to be emulated by both peers and
young people; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Trish Class upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition at the PRC Gala 2025: The PRC Parent Prom on March 7, 2025;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Trish Class.
